Students from the Applied Business Math class at Welte Education Center recently completed an exciting unit on creating their own online t-shirt businesses. To bring their learning to life, the class went on a "Leave-to-Learn" to the Shirt Stop, a local print shop, where they gained valuable insights into the t-shirt printing industry.

During their visit, students had the opportunity to explore the various aspects of running a t-shirt business. They learned about the design process, printing techniques, and the overall operations of a print shop. The highlight of the trip was when students rolled up their sleeves and got hands-on experience by creating their own screen-printed t-shirts.

The field trip was not limited to just the Applied Business Math students. Students interested in entrepreneurship, graphic art design, and the clothing business also attended.

This collaborative experience provided a comprehensive understanding of how different skills and knowledge areas come together in a real-world business setting.

"We wanted our students to see the practical application of what they learn in the classroom," said Mrs. Mora, the Applied Business Math instructor. "This trip to The Shirt Stop allowed them to witness firsthand the challenges and rewards of running a business, and it was a great opportunity for them to apply their skills in a real-world context."
