Mrs. DeNardo is proud to return to Fountain-Fort Carson School District 8 as the Principal of Welte Big Picture High School. She previously served the FFC8 community as an Instructional Coach and Gifted and Talented Learning Facilitator at Carson Middle School. Most recently, before joining the Welte Community, she served as an Assistant Principal of a middle school in a neighboring school district.

Mrs. DeNardo earned her bachelor's degree in Social Work from New York University and holds a master’s degree in Adolescent Special Education. Her background and experiences as a special education teacher and school leader deeply ground and shape her commitment to fostering equitable, individualized, and transformative learning experiences for all students. She is honored to join the Welte Big Picture High School community, where she wholeheartedly looks forward to centering and amplifying student voices to co-create unique educational journeys and futures as designed and envisioned by her students.

Mrs. DeNardo also deeply values her role as a mom to her two sons. She and Mr. DeNardo, who is a band director at a local middle school in Colorado Springs, love creating memories and experiences as a family on cross-country road trips and camping adventures at every opportunity.

Scott Jaggers has previously served as a school counselor at Grand Junction High School for two years and now as a school counselor at Welte Big Picture High School since 2016. Scott is a huge college basketball fan, being originally from Louisville, Ky (Go Cards!), and moved to Colorado with his wife in 2006 after serving in the United States Air Force. He enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, hiking with his wife, and working with students to help them navigate high school and prepare for future careers.
