Cito Nuhn has been an educator since 1996. He spent sixteen years teaching middle school social studies and language arts, in Colorado Springs and Durango, Colorado. From there, he spent two years as an assistant principal at Durango High School, and was the principal of Miller Middle School for three years. He is originally from Colorado Springs and returned home seven years ago to be close to family. He has been the principal at Welte Big Picture High School since 2017. Mr. Nuhn is very passionate about helping students to prepare for their future. Outside of school he enjoys spending time with his family and the outdoors.
Erika Ramirez has been an educator for the past sixteen years. She is a former Social Studies teacher. She moved in 2018, from Iowa, to be closer to her family, who are all in the Colorado Springs and Denver areas. Erika has been at Welte Big Picture High School as the Assistant Principal since 2018. Erika has a passion for the students she serves every day.
Scott Jaggers has previously served as a school counselor at Grand Junction High School for two years and now as a school counselor at Welte Big Picture High School since 2016. Scott is a huge college basketball fan, being originally from Louisville, Ky (Go Cards!), and moved to Colorado with his wife in 2006 after serving in the United States Air Force. He enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, hiking with his wife, and working with students to help them navigate high school and prepare for future careers.
Barbara Smith currently serves as the School Social Worker at Welte Big Picture High School. She worked as a School Social Worker for two years in Colorado Springs before moving to Welte. Barbara has received her master's degree in social work at Colorado State University-Pueblo and is a Licensed Social Worker. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading books, and sitting in the sun. Barbara believes in encouraging students to reach for the stars — to dream big, set ambitious goals, and discover their full potential, knowing that even the journey toward those goals brings growth and success.
