School Social Worker
Ms. Wendy Stevenson
Welcome to Welte. I’ve been a part of the Wolf Pack family since 2014 and am honored to be our school social worker. I work with students to build mental health resiliency in order to excel academically. My goal is for all students to be contributing members of their families, the workforce, and the community while having a positive sense of self and well-being. I serve part-time as a McKinney Vento Liaison providing support and resources to students and families living in transition with housing. I love being a part of the Welte community and enjoy working with incredible teachers and staff who dedicate their lives caring for young people who value connection above all else.
I’m a North Dakota native and have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Minnesota State University Moorhead and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Newman University. I’ve been in the mental health field since 2008 where I’ve predominantly worked with youth and families. I’ve lived in seven states and moved to Colorado in 2013 with my husband who was stationed at Fort Carson. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my two kids and being outside.
