Welte offers a culinary arts program where students learn how to cook to industry standards. This is one of several Career and Technical Education courses offered for high schoolers throughout FFC8.
Big Picture Learning
Big Picture Learning serves as an incubator of sorts for the next great ideas in education. Our initiatives include multiple fellowships, outside of school learning opportunities, healthy living and learning partnerships; and much more.
Project Lead the Way (PLTW)
By immersing students in activities like practicing suturing and constructing body structures from clay, PLTW Biomedical Science empowers students to build knowledge and skills in biomedical science, as well as in-demand, transportable skills like problem solving, critical and creative thinking, communication, and collaboration.
Sources of Strength
Group of diverse students/ adults from different corners/ cultures of our school/community. Our mission is to ensure during the rough times no one gets so overwhelmed or hopeless they want to give up.
Graduations Throughout the Year
Our students graduate throughout the year. Welte celebrates this accomplishment in a unique way by having staff and students cheer on the graduate as they carry a ceremonial spirit wand around the school.
